Hike packsaddle

The packsaddles were formerly used for transporting milk from the farms but are now a part of the folklore. They were created another packsaddle at the end of the 20th century: The excursion packsaddle.

Notice the packsaddle is not directly on the animal, there is always a thick saddle blanket between the packsaddle and the donkey's back for its comfort and to avoid wounding it.

If you make many excursions, it would be better to provide a strong saddlebag which will adapt well on the packsaddle. Then, you will have more storage and the loads will be easier to balance.

Some people rent donkeys for the first time for a day or more, if this is the case, it is advisable to accompany them to lend support.
